About

I’m Kaitlin Cottage, the weaver and fiber artist behind Cottage Textiles. From my studio nestled in the vibrant Vancouver area of British Columbia, I craft textiles that weave together my love for natural textures and the art of fabric creation.

My journey began soon after graduating from Seattle Central College with a degree in Apparel Design & Development. A graduation gift—a weaving class from my mother—sparked a deep-seated passion, leading me to acquire my first loom.

Inspired by my love for Dungeons & Dragons and the exquisite, handcrafted dice in the gaming community, I envisioned a niche for handwoven dice bags. This vision shapes Cottage Textiles, a celebration of handcrafted textiles through weaving, dyeing, and sewing. Here, I blend traditional techniques with creativity and experimentation, offering unique pieces that complement the craftsmanship of fellow makers to the players on the hunt for their ultimate bag of holding.

Cottage Textiles is my place to explore, experiment, and share my weaving, dyeing, and sewing through handmade textiles.
